Solid-State Rate/Gyro Compass without Cables

Maretron's SSC300, the second generation of Maretron's award-winning compass technology, is a solid-state, rate gyro electronic compass. It offers superior heading accuracy of better than 0.7° in static conditions and better than 1° in dynamic conditions while providing ten times per second heading updates and one-time per second vessel attitude readings, including pitch and roll. Using advanced stabilization algorithms, the SSC300 delivers reliable readings even during difficult conditions like hard turns or rough seas, making it ideal for autopilot and radar overlay applications.

Certified to the NMEA 2000 network standard, the SSC300 also supports the NMEA 0183 digital interface. It can connect directly to any NMEA 2000 network and can communicate with NMEA 0183 listeners to integrate with navigational software, chart plotters, autopilots, and dedicated displays, including Maretron's N2KView monitoring system and DSM150/DSM250 color graphics displays.

The SSC300 features automatic calibration for deviation, and its dynamic accuracy is enhanced by advanced digital filtering for the 3-axis magnetometer, accelerometer, and rate gyro.
