The ProMag SKS 7.62x39mm 40 Round Magazine is a 40-round magazine that fits SKS 7.62x39mm rifles and carbines. The magazine body is constructed of a proprietary DuPont Zytel based polymer and features an injection molded magazine follower. The magazine spring is formed from heat treated chrome silicone wire and is made in the USA. Due to the variability in mag-well dimensions in the wide variety of manufacturers of the SKS rifles and carbines, and in how they have been converted for the use of detachable magazines, this magazine may require hand-fitting or may not be suitable for yoru individual firearm.
