DC Clutch Pump Switch for Marine Use

The BG-SWCL is designed to control a DC clutch pump in marine applications when used with the BG-SW or BG-SWA. Built without moving parts, the solid-state BG-SWCL employs two integrated sensors to reliably detect liquid levels in the bilge, ensuring durability and longevity compared to traditional mechanical float switches. This unit is certified with CE and ISO 8846 Marine Ignition Protection, adhering to ABYC1500 testing standards.

Operating Mechanism

To effectively manage a DC clutch pump, two Blue Guard switches are required: one at the upper level (BG-SW or BG-SWA) and the BG-SWCL at the lower level. The upper switch activates the pump when liquid reaches that level, while the pump remains operational until the lower BG-SWCL no longer detects liquid. Users can monitor and test the BG-SWCL through the BGI Config App, available on both iOS and Android, providing access to vital information such as voltage levels, current output, and system temperature.

Durability and Reliability

The BG-SWCL boasts an IP-68 rating for durability, crafted from rugged, non-corrosive ABS plastic. It includes a heavy-duty mounting bracket for secure installation, compatible with #8x0.75” stainless steel screws. With heavy-duty 14-gauge marine-grade wiring, the BG-SWCL connects securely to the DC clutch pump and BG-JBox, ensuring dryness and reliability. Its two built-in sensors contribute to accurate and dependable detection.
